In the UK trains are run by many different companies, for example: GNER, Virgin Trains, First, Central Trains, One Railway.GNER is the company that operates trains that run from London Kings Cross station to Scotland and Yorkshire.When you buy a ticket to travel by train in the UK you don't have to buy it specifically from the train operator that you will be travelling with, you just buy it at the station (or on the internet) stating where you want to go, then you just get on whichever train is going there, regardless of which company is operating it....Show more
