German Thal: The only professions I can think of that would not do well in the winter are maybe landscaping and canoe instructing. Canada does not close up for the winter. Life continues as normal.
Hollis Demasters: It sounds as if you're asking from outside of Canada. If so, you've got a many things to think about that are more significant than whether jobs last during the Canadian winter....People's consciences don't freeze up during the winter. People have problems in good weather and bad. On building and industrial sites, casinos, air[orts and bus stations, parking arcades, social services offices, hospitals ... - security people work year-round. Tana Dumoulin: Canada doesn't shut down because of snow and cold.! That's an odd notion. Almost all professions are stable in the winter, with the exception of a few like life guarding, lawn maintenance/gardening etc, and occasionally some construction jobs. Winter is just another season here.
