Alphonso Brake: First, it sounds like you are overstressed. You need to work on this together with your husband. If you have a computer, get Quicken....it can help you budget and also keep track of your expenses whether you use credit cards or cash, etc. Then take a look at attending Financial Peace University by Dave Ramsey. I would hazard that their is a school or church nearby that offers the course and it's a lifesaver for couples who have troubles like you. Good Luck!

Newton Fedorko: I know everyone has to come up with a budget in order to handle bills and pay important things.I have been through so much, too much in credit card debts that I had to stop paying them, foreclosure on my home, still owe some things that are minor like attorney fees for a traffic violation, etc. I went through all this before I seperated from my husband, and it got worst when I seperated, however, we are back together now. I have a trustworthy person who is trying to help me repair my credit, and I know that it can take a long time, but I get desperate sometimes even now because I have not had an opportunity to buy me winter clothes. Tijuana Tatsak: i want to add money to my account but i dont feel like going to my bank to do it.Is there any other way to do it besides going to the bank?if so how...
Ollie Desalvo: Yes, they impact both your credit score and your credit report. Your credit report lists all your open accounts, and your credit score can go up or down depending on different factors but applying for a new card and/or closing an account certainly can impact your score.
Dexter Dicostanzo: i guess it depends on what you're trying to do. do you mean someone gave you a check or some cash and you need to deposit it? If that's the case, then you will need to go to the bank.if you're talking about "moving" money from your savings to your checking account, for example, then you can do that online. Right now i bank with HSBC, and i just go to their website and click on "tra! nsfer" and specify the "from" account and the "to" account....Show more!
Cristopher Gavalis: Some banks have a PO Box address that you can send money to. Call your bank or visit their website for alternative deposit methods.
Danyell Rowback: Utilization of credit accounts for 30% of your credit score... what about your other revolving credit lines? Do you keep a zero/low balance on these accounts. If so, you are getting all of the possible points from that area. Length of credit history only accounts for 10% of your credit score. If you close these accounts and they have been in good standing then they will remain on your credit report indefinitely. It will not automatically be deleted. If you have other old accounts, then don't worry about it. It may cost you a point or 2 but it will not kill you. Banks look at more than credit score when approving loans. Some lenders look at a lot of available credit as a risk. You could easily go into debt with little effort. In short, if you have a solid score and a good payment history then don! 't worry about it....Show more

Bud Espenshade: They are old forms , back when property owners were considered a better risk than renters ,Of course that was before all those wacky loans and lenders imploded .>
Dorinda Metzer: Ok, everyone's posted their answer on here, so now I'm going to post mine. Yes, credit cards w/o balances can affect your credit report, especially if you're not using the account. If you're not using it, the account doesn't report any activity. The credit scoring system is designed to where it should be consistently used, but not overused. Anywhere up to 30% of your available credit is allowable. While it's ideal to have a 0 balance, sometimes the activity from month to month on the account may o! r may not reflect on your report....Show more
Estrella Northway: Your credit score is made up 35% payment history, 35% debt to income ratio and account longevity, and 30% for alias' previous addresses, and a number of other small things. While a couple of open accounts with no balance helps you, the potential liability of you running wild and being able to max them out and over extend yourself does play a part in the debt to income ratio. Be sure to keep your oldest account open. If the interest rate is high, ask them to lower it because you have paid and have a 0 balance. If they won't, tell them to close the account. They will quickly back up and drop the rates. If you have several accounts open, close a couple of them. As a general rule you want to carry a balance on one card and keep one or two others paid off. Even if it's groceries on week on a card and you pay it off the next day. I have found one way to help re-establish is to use a credit card like a debit ca! rd and pay it online daily or weekly if your servicer allows multiple m! onthly payments. It keeps the account cycling and reporting positive....Show more
Armando Somes: This is an evaluation after reading all the answers you were given. First off *** do not close any of your credit card accounts. You need that history.*** All opened credit cards affect your credit score ! I agree with some answers that having a zero balance shows inactivity. So using them and paying them all off at the end of the month will not necessarily help your credit score. What I suggest is putting a very very small balance on that card and make the minimum payments. Don't even use 30% of the card. This will help you continue to earn a good credit score. Having a well round of credit card accounts with low balance that are paid on time will help you improve your credit score the most. Your score will not be affected negatively by too much credit limit. The only way your score will decrease by too much credit limit is if you have A LOT of cards. (Li! ke in the 20's) The scoring system does not score you on your take home pay vs your credit limit. This is something a creditor might judge you own. (Remember when you applying for an account each creditor has their own criteria they are looking for.)You will need a couple of MAJOR credit cards, and a few small revolving accounts. Please limit the department store accounts....Show more
Christopher Calcano: Someone who owns their own home is more stable and a better credit risk. They're also easier to find if they don't pay. What is this "it's both" supposed to mean? If your name is on the title, you're an owner. If not, then you're not.
Raven Purl: If youve never used the credit card its like not even having it . If you use it periodically for small things then pay it at the end of the month , thats how you get good credit !
Morris Cuomo: this is a good one
Elissa Curlin: Any credit card you have that is open, whether you have a balance on ! it or not, shows as an "open line of credit" which can either help or ! hurt your cause. You can be looked at as Overextended if you have too many open lines of credit based on your income.
Luke Gacusan: The credit report will show any credit card accounts that are open. However, I am pretty sure that have a zero balance on a credit card can only help your credit report. No one should have a lot of credit card debt; that hurts the credit report.
