Charline Granes: Well I have read the rest of the answers and I'm a little puzzled as none of them seem to mention the fact that the great majority of scientists agree that man's effect has been to accelerate global warming. That is to say we are coming out of the end of an ice age in geological time and we have made this happen quicker.The planet itself won't be remotely bothered as it has survived these changes before but he key question is will we be able to adapt quickly enough?In the west we can slow global warming by reducing the amount of co2 and methane we generate - solar / wind / wave / geothermal power; reduced use; cleaner technology for cars and industry etc. HOWEVER we need to ask if this will be enough given the rate of growth in the developing world, and in particular in China and India, AND in any event as we have been the major contributers in the past do we have any moral right to ask them to reduce their pace of d! evelopment?...Show more

Gwenda Micheals: what is Global Warming? What is causing it in the most part? Can we do something about it? First, we need to be honest! The U.N. was not honest and Al Gore was not honest! If you look at the U.N. record, you will find they are not honest in most situations! They have political reasons! Is it not mostly that way in many Countries? What is the difference of 64,000 and 2 million? Did not the U.N. support NATO attacks on those that we fighting against some that claimed they were Christians? We had Bosnia. Now we have Sudan! Now we have the continuous lies from the U.N, that these 2 million killed are not from a religious war! I have even seen a Muslim lady lie about this on TV! When they do mutilation/murder/ castration, torture, it is an internal! affair,the foolish and lying U.N.says! Enough,, Global Warming is caused by nature and is from the undersea and above ground active volcanoes! That amounts to over 94% of all greenhouse gases!
