can you get an agent just for theater?

Mark Villifana: You don't need an agent for community theater. Agents are paid on commission and since community theaters don't pay (or pay very little), agents are not involved. Whether you need an agent for theater work depends on where you live. Check with the theaters in your area and see if they have open auditions. Dinner theaters, summer stock, and the like - you generally don't need an agent for those.
